Matchboxes
Very few people know that Pakistan produces one of the best quality of matchboxes in the world. The main raw material wood is grown in abundance in the northern areas of Pakistan and is of the finest quality and colour. Various raw materials are imported to manufacture the finest quality matchboxes. The International standards are met as Matchboxes are an inflammable product and there are very strict standards to be followed in its manufacturing.
The matchboxes are mainly manufactured in two standard sizes as under:
- Regular size – 51 mm x 36 mm x 15 mm (average contents 45 sticks)
- Slim size – 50 mm x 36 mm x 12 mm (average contents 38 sticks)
The Packaging is available in coated and non coated outer box and duplex inner tray.
The striking surface is available in three different qualities as under:
